Parking
Street parking is available all around the Key West building. We are also within easy walking distance of the Newcastle Transport Interchange and Marketown Shopping Centre
Limited disabled parking is available inside- please call ahead (02 500 75337), or easy patient drop off is available by the front door.
Home sleep studies
New Sleep treat our home studies seriously. People sleep better at home, and home studies avoid the hassle and cost of hospitalisation. Rather than meet the bare minimum requirements for billing, we aim to get a really robust picture of your sleep at home.
To access a sleep study through new sleep, referrals are required from a medical professional. Medicare rebates are available for sleep studies under the 2 following circumstances:

Referred by a sleep/respiratory doctor

Referred by a GP or other specialist AND are at high risk of moderate to severe sleep apnoea based on sleep questionnaires
Referral process
Sleep consultations
GP or specialist referrals are required to access medicare rebates for sleep physician review. These can be forwarded to us electronically by your referring doctor, emailed to admin@newsleep.com.au, or dropped off in person if you’re in the area. These will be triaged by our team ASAP and you’ll be contacted with an appointment time.
Sleep Dentistry
Dr Li requires patients to have had a sleep study, and mandibular advancement splint either recommended by a referring doctor or based on sleep study report. Dr Li can organise a sleep study for you however you will not be eligible for a medicare rebate.
Sleep Psychology
To access medicare rebates, you will need to have a mental health care plan or chronic disease management plan and referral from your GP. Our psychologist will also accept private patients without medicare rebate, DVA and workcover/SIRA patients.
