Sleep Psychology
Better sleep is possible, and with the right support, lasting change can happen.

Understanding Sleep Psychology
Sleep isn't just physical—it is also shaped by our thoughts, behaviours, emotions and daily routines.
For many people, addressing these factors is the key to achieving lasting improvements in sleep.Â

Our sleep psychologist is specially trained to assess and treat a wide range of sleep difficulties, helping patients understand why their sleep has changed and providing practical, evidence-based strategies to improve it.

Sleep psychology can help with
✓ Insomnia and difficulty falling or staying asleep
✓ Anxiety around sleep
✓ Shift work and circadian rhythm disorders
✓ Fatigue and non-restorative sleep
✓ CPAP intolerance
✓ Stress-related sleep difficulties
✓ Hypersomnia supportÂ
✓ Sleep difficulties associated with chronic   pain or other medical conditions
Evidence-based treatment
Rather than relying on medication, our psychologist use proven therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), the internationally recommended first-line treatment for chronic insomnia, shown to be as effective as medications without the side effects.

Treatment is personalised, practical and designed to help you develop healthy sleep habits that continue long after therapy has finished.
As part of our multidisciplinary team, our sleep psychologistÂ
can work closely with our sleep physician, sleep dentist and sleep scientists when needed. This ensures that every aspect of your sleep health is considered, while maintaining confidentiality and patient priviledge. Whether your sleep difficulties are occurring on their own or alongside conditions such as sleep apnoea, we provide coordinated care tailored to your individual needs.
